So we could go by walking with enjoying fresh air that rarely found in big city. It’s offer an unusual sophisticated view with a beautiful panorama. This canyon has depth about 100 m and width about 200 m. It stretches about 15 km, looks like large snake coiled. By viewing Sianok canyon from Panorama, we can see background of two popular mountains in West Sumatera, Marapi mountain and Singgalang mountain. These mountains look like separated by Sianok canyon. Somehow, i often imagine these two mountains, marapi and singgalang is a couple that love each other but Sianok canyon separated them.

There a lot spot view that you can took photos.

The bottom of the canyon of ngarai sianok. Look fantastic, beatifull also scary.

The sun seemingly shy, hid behind cloudy morning sky.

Uniquely, we can see greedy little creature, the monkey. So many of them in this are. Somehow, they look funny but sometimes scary. But don’t worry they won’t bite human anymore. Just give some food or nuts if possible. They so greed of food, even a monkey in this place do drink milk.

One thing that make Sianok canyon has historical side is Japanese Caves (or what the native called Lubang Jepang). This is a network tunnel which built during World War II by under command of Japan colonist. Uniquely, this tunnel didn’t dig by people lived surrounding, but from outside of sumatera people.

One thing should be done before going home. Shopping… Shopping… And shopping… There a lot tradisional, unique and origin spesific sourvenir that can be bought.

Time passed until evening, but weather still cool because the wind blow gently

Our guests look interested about our traditional food called bakwan, a food made from flour dough mixed with vegetables (eg. carrot) and then fried until cripsy.
